Day 4: LinuxWorld Expo

Simon had to get to the Javits Center very early to get some last minute things done before the convention started at 10:30 A.M. The LinuxWorld Exposition was well represented, with all sorts of companies from Stormix to Corel to Hewlett Packard. Linus Torvalds was spotted pushing his babies around the aisles. Tarantula Linux was putting on a sort of rock concert in their booth. SGI had two robots who zoomed around and conversed with themselves and others around them. While there, Simon met up with Tali (Tracy), an old irc pal from the days of #thecafe. She now works at LinuxCare and spotted Simon, introducing herself instantly and inviting both of us to a party after the convention. Christine stopped by to take a look around at around 2:30 and stayed until closing time. We both considered staying for the party, but Simon was extremely tired and so we decided to go back to Times Square for dinner. We ate at TGI Fridays and after walking around some more, we went back to the hotel for some sleep. Click on the thumbnails for larger images.
